Now Contact: Do you need PU/EPS/Rock Wool sandwich panels?
With the rising demand for high-performance roofing materials in the US residential market, Yirong sandwich panel supplier recently successfully delivered a batch of 75mm thick PU-edged rock wool roof panels to a US customer. This one-stop supply and customized performance meet their core requirements for residential comfort, safety, and durability. The shipment was transported in a full container (40-foot high cube container), fully loaded with standard panels suitable for residential roofs, which will soon be used in local single-family homes and apartment projects.

This PU-edged rock wool rock wool roof panel is optimized for the US residential environment, combining insulation, fire resistance, waterproofing, and wind resistance, making it a preferred solution for local builders.
Rock Wool Core Material: 75mm thick high-density rock wool (120kg/m³), with a thermal conductivity as low as 0.038W/(m·K), far exceeding the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) recommended standard for residential roof insulation (≤0.045W/(m·K)). Actual measurements show a 30% reduction in winter heating energy consumption and a 25% reduction in summer cooling energy consumption, helping homeowners gain points for LEED green building certification.
PU Edge Sealing Technology: The edges are sealed with polyurethane (PU) foam, ensuring seamless splicing and eliminating cold bridging effects, further improving insulation continuity, especially suitable for the cold climates of the northeastern United States and the hot climates of the southern United States.
Inherently Flame Retardant Rock Wool: The core material is inorganic mineral fiber, non-combustible and does not release toxic gases when exposed to fire, meeting ASTM E136 standard Class A fire resistance, fully complying with stringent fire codes such as California Title 24, making it particularly suitable for densely populated wood-frame residential communities in the United States.
Metal Surface Protection: The outer layer of aluminized zinc-coated steel sheet (0.5mm thick) is treated with a fluorocarbon coating, withstanding temperatures up to 800℃ and maintaining structural stability even in extreme weather conditions.
PU Edge Sealing for Water Locking: The PU foam layer at the edges forms a continuous waterproof barrier. Combined with the inherent water-repellent properties of the board (water absorption ≤1%), it effectively resists the torrential rains of the southeastern United States during hurricane season and the rainy season in the Northwest, preventing roof mold and structural corrosion.
Wind-Resistant Design: Passed FM Global wind resistance testing, suitable for high-wind-pressure coastal areas of the United States, such as Florida and Texas.
Lightweight Structure: The overall weight is only 12kg/㎡, 80% lighter than traditional concrete roofs, reducing the load on the main building structure, especially suitable for renovation of older homes.
Tap-and-Groove Design: The boards use a concealed snap-fit connection, requiring no additional sealant. A single person can quickly install it, with a daily construction area of up to 200㎡, three times more efficient than traditional tile roofs.

This shipment to the United States consisted of a 40-foot high cube container carrying 1200 square meters of 75mm PU-sealed rock wool roof panels, packaged strictly according to US import standards. Each panel was covered with a PE protective film, with corner protectors added to the edges, and the container was filled with moisture-proof paper to ensure no scratches or deformation after long-distance sea freight (China port → Los Angeles port, approximately 25 days). Yirong also provided an installation guide (including US standard detail diagrams) and video tutorials to help the customer get started quickly.
